If a person can smile
Despite all their pain
They have understood life
And they have an umbrella
Against the rain.

The essence of life
Is to overcome
The hurdles it brings
To look despair in the face
And not be defeated by things.

Nothing in this world
Or the next
Is worth a good night's sleep
Life wants to defeat you
So, whatever happens, don't weep.

You are alone on this road
Which is undoubtedly tough
But you have your own company
And that is enough.

Whatever happens
Whether good or bad
Walk with your chin up
Don't be sad.
