If All I Can Write Is Words Of Despair
IF ALL I CAN WRITE IS WORDS OF DESPAIR
If all I can write is words of despair
Perhaps its better
Not to write at all
If all I have to give others
Is my own discouragement
Then what is the use of it all?
Perhaps the time has come
To be silent
And no matter how hard the dying years ahead
Endure them as quietly and humbly as I can
