If everyone cared,
What a wonderful world
This planet of ours would be!

If everyone cared,
All the conflicts would cease,
And all the oppressed would be free.

If everyone cared,
Not one person on earth
Would know hunger, nor thirst, nor need.

Not one person on earth
Would be viewed with disdain
Nor would suffer indignity.

If everyone cared,
Neither race nor one's faith
Would foster hostility.

And peace would reign
In a world immersed
In goodwill and harmony.

If only everyone cared!
