If Honesty Crept Up And Tackled Us Poem by Raymond Farrell

If Honesty Crept Up And Tackled Us

If honesty crept up
And tackled us
What could we do
Of truth nearly
Took out false front away
What would we do
What would we say
If God with all seeing eye
Looked deep and long
Took time to scrutinize
Then rewarded good and punished wrong
Imparted to each of us our due
What would we do
What would we say
Facades having been torn away.
