If I Poem by Regina Scopelitis

If I

If I but stop along the way,
To lend a helping hand.
Or say a word to let,
Somebody know I understand.

If I can dry somebodies tears,
With a single little smile.
Then I will know perhaps my life,
Is a little bit worthwhile.

If I but ease the ache,
Of a lonely heart that's lost.
Or help to lighten just a bit,
Somebody elses Cross.

If I can turn the grayest skies,
A little bit more blue.
If I can help somebody else,
Maybe God will help me too.
