[if I Could Fly....] Poem by Empath In flames

If I could fly....

I wouldn’t use it to save my life
Ironically I would fall to my death
For the sake of seeing my past
As I quickly try to decipher
Where I went wrong...
How I got to this point...
And where I should be...

If I could see into the future,
I wouldn’t change a thing.
For some reason if my fate,
Were somewhat fatal
Then perhaps I am deserving

Of a death....
With nothing left for me.....
In this world to give...

If I could live forever,
I would spend the years,
Trying to find out why I have such a power
And ways to defy immortality
To destroy this gift...
To walk to the edge....
And simply die....

If I could only fly....
