If I Could Paint Life Poem by Augustus Billy Mutebesi

If I Could Paint Life

Rating: 5.0

If I could paint life
In a photograph,
And make it say
A thousand words,
I'd tell you that
Before you die -
Anything
Can come your way.

I've seen a beggar
Being begged
By the rich men
He once begged.

Tranquil peace
Becoming chaos.
Pure love
Reversed to hate
And failure
Strangling triumph.
