If I never met you,
My world would be plain,
A sky without color,
A song without strain.
The laughter I hear now,
Would fade into air,
The stories we share,
Would not be found there.
My mornings would dawn,
With less of a gleam,
My evenings would settle,
In a quieter dream.
The kindness you offer,
A comforting light,
Would not fill my days,
Or brighten my night.
If I never met you,
A big piece would be gone,
A joy left un-bloomed,
Before it could dawn.
