If I Only Saw My Hand
If I only saw my hand
in its mirrored reflection
would I truly see my hand?
in simply looking at its reflexive image
would I truly understand?
for this appendage is one
I need no contraption to see
for with my own eyes, I can project
its form and capacity
but what about the face?
which you will never truly see
you can touch it and look back on it
but never more than a reflection it will be
