If I Should Seek The Stay Of Wandering Will Poem by Sergey Ilchenko

If I Should Seek The Stay Of Wandering Will

Rating: 4.5

If I should seek the stay of wandering will
Unclosing thus the ring of many a way
I’ll build myself a house upon a hill
And ask myself, who can forbid my stay?

Yet once a sight will catch my roaming eye
Through panes turned gray by winter frost, though scarce
Discernible, of a midnight passer-by
Walking beneath the canopy of stars.

He will not stop or leave the trodden lane
Nor will I get the chance to clearly see
His face through the design on the gray pane
But I shall know this passer-by is me.

Good train of thought, well articulated and nicely penned in poetic diction with lovely rhyme scheme. Thanks for sharing Sergey. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
