RIC S. BASTASA

If I Were Something Else - Poem by RIC S. BASTASA

if i were something else
i could be just
your pair of slippers
and i go with you
anywhere even in bed
when you begin to
forget

when you go barefoot
you will miss me
and when you are so
depressed
you can always beat me
on your head
and on said instance
i become so close
to you
in thoughts and in
deed.
