If It Matters Poem by June FeirCruz

If It Matters

Rating: 4.0

If it matters, there was only you
These past few months were like heaven to me
I felt loved, I felt alive and I felt free.
You brought out the love that has always been inside of me.

I look into your eyes and I am lost into the blue
You take me up so high, I could hear the angels.
I could hear them sing in exultation, I could hear the flapping of their wings
I was in heaven.

Now that you ended it, I am devastated like no other
The pain is unbearable
It took me to the depths of misery
And I looked into Lucifer's eyes and I held his hand.

For all these pain that I feel now
I wouldn't change a thing.
I would take this suffering any day, any time
Just to know that I once loved you.

I'd like to think that extremes like this don't come too often but I've a sneaking suspicion that for some passionate souls being torn apart is the only way! I guess many of us have been there sometime. Not the most comfortable read, but compelling all the same, thanks June.
