If Only Poem by Zibele Mbete

If Only

I wish every curse can be upon you.
Get an astonishing attack from devil and his crew.
I wish life can hit you both sides and inside too.
I pray every bad thing to belong to you.
If only, I'm speaking opposite.

I wish God turn his back on you.
Prosperity to come as a nightmare.
I wish life hit you down to the ground.
And then you hate yourself.
And prefer death
If only I hated you.

I pray that you don't find inner peace.
I wish joy can be just a mocking piece.
Goodness to be a dream.
And life to be an aloe.
If only I don't love you.

I wish crying makes no relief.
I wish light creates no belief.
I wish nature, (moon, stars, sun) makes no light
Pray that your beauty never shines bright.
And never know the meaning of right
If only I you weren't you.

You're just a diamond ounce in a dust.
You're bright yet not shining.
You're beautiful yet not recognised
You're kind but never noticed.
You're not big yet great.
