The One I Love Poem by Zibele Mbete

The One I Love

Rating: 5.0

I've been blind because blindness blinded me
Not to see how beautiful is she
But past won't punish me in my presence
I love her in essence

LOVE is nothing but a feeling
Of deep affection for something
from a warm and righteous heart
like a wood smoke in a heart
It grows and leave the heart warming

She's neither tall nor short
Neither rich nor poor
But my feeling for her is hot
And her heart is pure

She drive me crazy
Then i become lazy
Life without her is miserable

She took my whole attention
Her name is, sorry, i won't mention
I hate the fact that i love her
She always come as a nightmare

If i were a poet would write
Perhaps fly and be with her every night
But because of my inability
I can't portray my heart's stability
For I'm not good with words
Neither by war nor swords
Not knowing how my feels
But weakness, my heart heals
