If Only It Happened... Poem by deepthi mallampalli

under this big blue bright starred sky
I deeply wonder below it as i lie
Wish the earth would stop for a single day
nothing could move or happen for a single day

the flowers would not bloom as the rays fall
and the waters wouldnt flow even if the downstreams call
it will be empty where the birs fly
nietger anyone will have a new born nor anyone will die

the wind stops blowing and leaves wouldnt fly
no leaf would fall down even if its dead and dry
the fire would neither give warmth in cold houses
nor would its bright heat burn down places

how would love pass through when everything is still
hearts go empty waiting to be filled
it might be the peak of the life but never wish the earth would stop
cause there might be more with which or mood may rise or even drop
