If There Was No Tomorrow Poem by Sian Kyle

If There Was No Tomorrow

If there was no tomorrow,
And the world ended today,
Would I really speak my mind,
Would I know what to say?
Would I know the words to tell
You I love you from my heart?
If there was no tomorrow,
Would I know where to start?
There’d be so much I’d want to say,
Memories of those happy days,
Holidays spent in the sun,
Our ever-lasting romance just begun,
If there was no tomorrow,
Would I know the words to say?
If there was no tomorrow,
How would I tell you?
Would I speak the words then run away,
Or stay and see it through?
Would I see the pictures in my mind,
Of the good times we shared,
Or would I replay those darkest hours,
When I was alone and scared?
If there was no tomorrow,
Now I know the words I’d say,
I’d tell you that I love you and
I won’t forget today,
I won’t forget the smiles we share
Or the loving words we say,
If the world ended tomorrow,
I’d treasure it today…
There’d be so much that I would say,
Memories of happy days,
Holidays spent in the sun,
Our eternal love just begun,
If there was no tomorrow…
This is what I’d say…
I LOVE YOU.
