If things had not happened your way,
May be, they may, some other day;
May be, you don’t deserve today;
May be, God had not had His say!
May be, God just allowed this way;
May be, your sins hold them at bay;
May be, God waits to send His Fay;
May be, God had pronounced His ‘Nay’!
May be, the devils make their hay;
May be, there’s still a hopeful ray!
May be, your goodness will soon pay.
