IF THIS NIGHT COULD HAVE A POEM

If this night can have a poem
Then this long day
May have meant something

But if there is only the blankness of nothingness
Only the frustrating silence of what cannot be said

Then this night
And this day

Will be as lost
As they would be

Could I write the world into Beauty
That is read.
