Cry, if you have to
but then - cry like a child
cries for the warmth
of mother's embrace
Laugh, if you can
as tears and laughter
often walks
hand in hand
Sing, when you heart
overflows with joy
but then-sing like a drunkard
when in the morn'
tavern shut the door
Walk, if you have to
But then- walk like a pilgrim
with muddy feets
and pure mind
Dance, if you can
But then- dance like a Dervish
With eyes shut
and the heart wide open
Pray, if you need to
but then- stand tall
and bow your pride
yet, bow your head
and let your soul stand tall
