Illegal Drug Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Illegal Drug

Illegal Drug

Like many, I too, have,
Faced the mean injustice,
Was handcuffed, sent to jail.

School is prison,
Firsthand is each lesson,
In teaching: "Learn, convert! "

On X, Y, shape cycle!
Shape the sine-cosine waves!

Some seek gate to escape,
From these dirty games!

Few do what I did,
Use system, researching.

Chose to teach English,
Met many of victims,
Students turned friends!

I listened carefully,
Opened gates to learning.

Luckily that tree,
Gave fruits, plenty.

As secrets were revealed,
The foes, too, increased!

Heard about professionals:
"To keep face, show pride,
Exaggerate their crimes,
And bluff to walk tall! "

Mass of the prisoners,
Are victims of systems,
Unjust are governments!

Shame on such governance!
Shame on such governance!

Example was Hussein,
New York's student.

He was caught by changes,
Revolts and governments!

Mullahs in, Shah was out,
Iran's youths lost it all!

Could not get money, nor
Had a job, no income!

Then US Embassy,
Crashed, burned bridge,
Killing old friendships:
"Iranians turned devils! "

The insults had lined up,
A kick came after punch.

He, lonely and depressed,
Felt dying, abandoned!

In need he, found corner,
Sat on pulp, with hunger!

Summarize story:
"Went for the psychedelic! "

High he was with drug,
LSD failed the guy!

Half on foot. Half on side,
Leant on beams, not to fall.

Came police and got him:
"Used drug? Pig! Filthy! "

Could not cope with Iran,
The Iran of mullahs,
There in jail, the poor man,
Came as rose…soon faded!
