Illusion Of Trust



When trust divided
our two worlds collided
into a succession of smiles
It gave us some reason
to justify being
And I just wanted you to stay a while.

When faith had departed
and the bitterness started
by the painfulness of disloyalty
It gave us a sensation
of the heartbroken past subsiding
And I just wanted you to stay a while
