Illusive Joy Poem by Ram Daras Das

Illusive Joy

Most of times I feel joy
People wonder why!

The reason not known to me
What can I tell thee!
Joy don't have language to say
Joy don't have religion to pray! !

Joy is prevalent in abundance!
But it's strange in some sense
That, amidst the illusive materialistic pleasure
Man ignores joy's presence! !

In search of happiness,
Man tends to run for sorrow!
Each moment
Be it today or tomorrow! !

Root of sorrow - ‘materialistic possession'
Disguised as joy, locks man in its prison!
Because, Passion, Power, Ego and Greed
Make a man "Illusively joyful" indeed! !
