I'm Gay Poem by Corey Jones

I'm Gay

I'm Gay.
My Femininity on full display.
As my thighs rub together and my hips swish and sway.
My knee highs high and my fishnets frayed.
With my Masculinity not held at bay,
I let my colors infect the grey.
So, look deep in my eyes and listen close as I say,
I'm Gay.

I'm Proud.
My patterns clash and my hair is loud.
My heels looking fierce as they strut through the crowd.
Wearing clothes that they shout should not be allowed.
With my beautiful curves and painted on brows.
Joining arms with my allies who all make a vow,
that our voices will roar as we all say aloud
I'm Proud.

I'm Here.
With my 'agenda' in hand that some people fear,
throwing insults, hate, taunts, and jeers.
Because we are Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer.
With many more labels within our sphere
So, if you still don't know, or cannot hear
Then let me spell it out, make it perfectly clear
We're Here.

Get used to it.
