I'm Not Me Without You Poem by Tina Rizk

I'm Not Me Without You

My love,

I'm not me without you
I'd still be me, but yearning
And longing for your heart
Your love is like sugar for coffee
Without it coffee would still be coffee
But with a bitter taste

With you I tasted the sweetness of life
With you I felt the tenderness of life
With you I found happiness in life
Without you there's nothing but bitterness

Only you love the real me
The person hidden deep
My core, my thoughts, my soul
For you and I are one beautiful soul

It's true, we're all souls in human forms
We're hearts, thinking minds in human forms
Thus when love springs from the soul
It's timeless, eternal, it lasts forevermore
