My chair was soft, I slept so deep,
A little nap, a gentle sleep.
Then music played, a tinkling sound,
From chimes that hung, all around.
They sang so clear, by my front door,
For just a bit, I feared no more.
I thought I'd left this world behind,
And found a heaven, peace of mind.
But then I woke, my eyes did blink,
A gentle breeze touched me, made me think.
The door was wide, the air flowed free,
No angels sang, just wind for me.
Fooled again, a sweet surprise,
With sleepy smiles and waking eyes.
But it felt good, it's fine for me,
Because I'm here, still alive and free.
