I'm Still Rising To The Top Poem by Shavon Harrington

I'm Still Rising To The Top

I'm still advancing to the top; I rise,
waiting like an eagle in the sky.

To the top, I climb,

With no hesitation,

I'm rising to the top;
Like pure water pouring from an hourglass.

To the top, I advance; Can you hear me stepping into place?

To the top, I rise,
can you see me coming gliding in praise?

I'm still rising to the top; I gain
like the strong wind was withering through the night.

To the top, I rise, most of all; love conquers all.

To the top, I rise,

like the sunset's bright light blue sky.

I'm still clambering to the top. I climb so eagerly.

I'm reaching for the horizon,

I grow; I never stop expanding.

To the top, I rise,

I'm still climbing to the top. I build my path,

Like a bird in the wild jungle, flying free,

I'm rising to the top, l rise, and my angel wings stand mid-floor high because I'm still rising to the top.
