Imaginary Lover Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Imaginary Lover

Rating: 5.0

In the sweet night
I feel the silence behind the window
In the flat surface of
The moon I see you stuck as a shadow

In the black night
I watch the trees busy in a mystic dance
With wind blowing
Soft I see you there crossing the fence

Amidst hooting of owls
I can see you climbing up the stairs
A shiver runs down my
Spine when I get fragrance of your hairs

You are beyond this world
There is no one here to take your care
You have not a life now
Happy moments with you I can't share

Great imagery creating a fascinating atmosphere which, at times, is closer to mysticism. Wonderful poem this- Imaginary Lover. Nicely structured and rhymed. Thanks, Anil ji.
