Imagination Poem by Jim Boone

Imagination

Was my best friend

Creating life scripts to
explore possibility or
to withstand onslaughts
from those who would take
a part of little boy me.

'Imagination'

Was a Lennon tune
as my twenties departed

As life got more interesting
with a determined flair.

Little chick fears blended
with resilient years that
outed my poetry writing

Built a stage, gave voice
to a past no longer confined
to hidden papers in boxes.

‘Well hello there, good old friend of mine'
