Immortal Poem by iqra hassan

Immortal

Should I make you mine?
Or dream you o' divine?
Should I be your skin?
Closer than a kin?
Shall I gulp your essence?
In my soul, feel your presence,
But the dreams fall apart,
Lovers at last depart,
Soul leaves the body,
Unheard remains rhapsody,
Let me write you on paper,
Shaping you in words, a dapper,
Be my words, intoxicant and fragrant,
Cling to my thoughts, with passions pregnant,
I shall breathe life into you,
You will reflect me, I shall be you,
Immortalize you, I will this way,
Life will lead death astray..
