Is there anything left—any unoffered neglect?
Yet today, the entire expanse still rests in a single dot.
Take it all, if anything remains, glean it piece by piece—
Quiet the weeping that echoes across all of the past.
Take away all the light, setting it ablaze with fire,
Whatever we once held—it was all springtime.
Take this untroubled time—that ultimate offering—
I have gathered and kept an endless, hidden love.
This much I can give—a life turned to embers,
Whatever form it once held—let it today become a vow.
