Imprisoned Thoughts Poem by Rik Bertrand

Imprisoned Thoughts

Imprisoned in my thoughts,
are my memories of you.
captured for the future,
so that I am never blue.

When I am cold and all alone,
and i feel I can't go on,
I dig into my imprisoned thoughts
and my sorrow's overcome.

the times that we shared in warm embrace,
the softness our you hair, your beautiful face,
are memories I can't erase.

Imprisoned in my thoughts,
our love will never die.
Its locked in tight, so I can fight,
the tears when i cry.

Did you tell the person? If you haven't - they may want to know - perhaps their memories cannot be erased. So sad. Why lock your thoughts up? Set them free.
