Impromptu Poem by Ugochukwu Thompson

Impromptu

Rating: 5.0

I write because of this vain test,
You put me through without a rest,
Challenging me as if a bet,
To pit forward unrehearsed set,
Of epic writing mine intense;
So I do so in your presence.
Not to give credit to this bout,
But to clarify every doubt;
Even while on this wheel-like chair,
Full of alloy, enchanting fear,
I siphoned grand rhythms unknown,
To your vast mind, cliff note - "siphon".
