Impulse Poem by Tom Foster

Impulse

Rating: 5.0

The heart does not have a plan
A time table
The heart acts on impulse desire
Passion
Wanes they say
Still every time I look at you
With each breath
The flame the need
To see you smile
To feel your breath on my neck
When you whisper my name
My name on your lips
Your lips on my eyes
Blind me then kiss away
A blind man’s tears
Fears that set this old mad poets
Heart racing
This heart that does not have a plan
Only acts on impulse
