The taste buds, my friends,
They yearn for spicy food;
Those dishes attain fame
Whose good taste lingers
Up to the next bright dawn.

The Pulao exudes an aroma
Typical of the ingredients used
And the method of preparation,
I prefer the Dum Pukht variety,
The meat is light and tender.

I am not a fussy guy, but
I do appreciate good food,
The effort and love involved
In its preparations is worthy
Of mention in a sweet song.
