In Between
Look in between
what's growing here between the spaces of yesterday and tomorrow?
time will tell delivering spiritual mail
of where and what to read
perhaps we will open a book
play some tunes and listen
singing our little hearts desires out
the songs we breathe and inside the breaths
we keep our minds wandering company
figgure out riddles that make us giggle
passing more of the time and filling the days up with creative outlets
hidden under our tapestry of artistic beahaviors
looking under the surface I see new sprouts of watered dirt
roots beginning to take deeper understanding of the fertile soil
of which it laid holding on
to a single spark of seed and intense heated light
growing in the spaces
in the in betweens
cracks revealing places
to meet you in my dreams
looking for you inside my pages
breaths breathing in
in between the lines you are there
you are the curves to my pen
toward your hearts prayer
there you are in full array in between the lines
sharing hearts through lovely rhymes
most treasured gift
held with no other
the art of love has been discovered
ah, you my love are growing in the cracks
I find you there creating timeless art
I hear you speaking to me from deep within
hear your every roaring a gentle roaring purr
now less afraid than at the start
these roots have grown and steadied my heart
this spark ignited has never disappeared
your always here with me in spark
holding you holding me
definite to last the journey
I am trusting the spark
I hear the unsaid truths calling believe
do you see my light?
feel my spark with knowing?
is your spark still lit on fire?
you are the beating pulse to it's energy
as the waiting comes ever nearer
to a 'closer' to you
twohearts with sparks of light
have become a rose
withstanding spaces
cracks and lines
by shining brightly
not lit by feel or wish or hope
led by trusting a knowing beyond all reasoning and doubt
roots planted in this universe
in another realm
to withstand the storms
and test of time
as clouds pass by
with their protective covering
I cover you with my breast
