like a candle light
that you blow
you cease on a certain
awakening
not because you die
and perish
but because you need
a retreat to the dark side
of yourself
not to embrace darkness
but simply to
rest
thinking some more
about
what to do next
after this defeat....

you dream about advancing
to another broad daylight
triumphant now
against the weakness
that pulls your feet
towards that drowning of
the past....
