In Every Moment (2.0) Poem by Ian Lewis

In Every Moment (2.0)

In every moment there is stillness, energy, and potential. That energy is forever, that stillness is eternal.
In that moment, It is July 13 1967… I choose you as my parent, enter this body for the first time,
and I feel your love so warm and inviting
In that moment, I am 3, your beard feel rough and wiry in my hands.
In that moment, I am 6 and you teach me how to use a camera….. My first picture.
In that moment, I am 10 we ride on your tandem. ……The fall wind is cold on my face.
In that moment, I am 13, your lessons……..responsibility and honor, integrity
In that moment, I am 17 I am you’re assistant. You are so patient
In that moment, your grandchildren are born. We love them and it is so easy
In this moment I am 44. You reminded me to share with, and listen to my wife.
To support her dreams, and love her with all my heart
And in this moment we are all here together to share, listen, and love one another.
