In Her Father's Eyes Poem by Maya Robena

In Her Father's Eyes

Listening to the shouting,
and hearing her name,
She listens to learn,
She's his embarrassment and shame,
A failure in life,
Not as good as her brother,
That she's brought nothing but strife,
to him and her mother,
Taking her knife,
still listening to them fight,
She ends their strife,
and does whats right.
