In His Light, I Noticed You Poem by Christen Kuikoua

In His Light, I Noticed You

A memory I cannot forget,
Of days not long gone
When laughter fell from my lips like worship,
For joy in Christ overflowed my soul.

Tears filled my eyes, soft and sacred,
As my little heart beheld
What it means to be loved by Him
And somehow, to feel it through you.

I danced upon the shore in His presence,
Smiling as though heaven drew near,
Like a child who forgot how to grow old,
Alive in a moment I once only dreamed.

And there you were beside me,
Your laughter echoing mine
As we spoke His Word together,
Two hearts burning with the same flame.

Now I sit in quiet stillness,
Reminiscing your smile,
The way joy rested so gently on your face
As we shared the beauty of Scripture.

Oh, what wonder it is to love Him
But what grace it is to find you there too.

For even now, I cannot help but smile,
Held by a memory of Christ, and you.
