In His Presence, Fullness Of Joy Poem by Donald McGillivray

In the quiet of the morning,
when the world is still and hushed,
I feel Your Spirit whisper,
in the dawn's first gentle blush.
You are here, my Abba Father,
closer than my breath,
the One who formed my fragile frame,
and conquered even death.
You have placed eternity
within this heart of mine,
a longing for Your holiness,
a thirst for the Divine.
I am Yours, and You are mine,
a covenant of grace,
etched in blood, in love, in fire,
I rest in Your embrace.
You are my Rock, my Fortress strong,
my Shield in every fight,
my Comforter in sorrow's night,
my Song in morning light.
You are my King, my Savior dear,
my Lover, my true Friend,
the Alpha and Omega,
beginning without end.
In Your presence, joy abounds,
a river deep and wide,
for at Your right hand, treasures gleam,
where love and truth reside.
The path of life You've shown to me,
though narrow, it is sure,
for You have gone before me, Lord,
Your promises endure.
 
I am Your temple, Spirit-filled,
a vessel for Your flame,
a warrior clothed in armour bright,
who calls upon Your name.
I am Your child, adopted, loved,
a branch now grafted in,
abiding in the Vine of Life,
where healing flows within.
My mind transformed, my heart renewed,
I'm sanctified each day,
to walk as Christ, in love and truth,
to follow and obey.
For I can do all things through Him,
who strengthens me with might,
the joy of the Lord is my strength,
my song in darkest night.
I am a virgin, pure and bright,
awaiting the great feast,
where I will see my Bridegroom's face,
and every tear released.
Until that day, I'll praise Your name,
with every breath I take,
for You delight in me, O Lord,
and will not me forsake.
So let my life be worship,
let my heart be Your throne,
for I am Yours, and You are mine,
I'm never more alone.
In Your presence, fullness of joy,
forever I will dwell,
my God, my Rock, my Savior,
my Emmanuel.
