Clear eyed doll faced lover girl blue,
Taken down the darkened lanes where;
Few of us saw you and less adored you.

Of your less than apt outfit, we laughed into the night,
From your dull, faded balcony, we only knew a fright.

Then when the story was said of the damage we misread,
It was no longer you that sat alone.
