In Humble Prayer Poem by Carolyn Ford Witt

In Humble Prayer

* IN HUMBLE PRAYER *

In humble prayer we come to You
To talk to You each day
And thank You for Your blessings
Or take some time to say,

Our hearts are ever turned to You
As we commune in prayer
To share our innermost secrets
And our lives to You we bare.

I always tell you things I feel
Although you may disagree,
And if those feelings are so wrong
For Your forgiveness I do plea.

I ask that You will teach me
The things you'd have me do
And I will listen in silence
To that voice that comes from You.

And if I forget, chastize me;
For at times, you know, I do.
Dear Father, guide me and bless me
And please bless all my friends, too.
