In Just A Moment Poem by Christine Gries

In Just A Moment

Rating: 5.0

In just a moment
You were gone
Like the wind
that tossed my hair
Into an unruly state

In just a moment
you were gone
Like a door shutting
the click of the lock
Closing out the world

In Just a Moment
you were gone
I stood in the depth
of the emptiness
you left behind
and
shed one single tear

Crisp and to the point. In just a moment it conveyed love and grief beautifully.
