In Moskva, In The Red Square Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

In Moskva, In The Red Square

In Moskva, in the Red Square
Thousands pass like ants to and fro
Too hurried for the delights of ease
And rest and watching the parades
Of the armed soldiers tall in the square.
Here Lenin's sarcophagus lies.
History reserved events plentiful for it
That often rolled to other states
and even to the world.
Here's the feelings, all, all demonstrated
were according to the event,
Oft blood gurgled here yet at night
Instead of it rose flowers and night-dews
To fade at sight of Dawn, ballerina tiptoeing.
