3 steps up a ladder
kicked to the floor
hung from the ceiling
next to the door

blue lipped
and cold you hung
from a thread
he cut you down
but silence was
dead

3 hours
that's all was said
suicide letters
left unread
sat on the stairs
hands held my head
too many words
were left unsaid

howled myself to sleep
like a lone wolf un fed
father beside me
curled up on my bed

3 years and still
you come to mind
fragments of you
I often find
in people
you left behind

but

in the mirror
that hangs from my wall
is where I find you
most of all.
