Take a walk in my shoes,
And see how much fun you’ll have,
You’ll realize its not all sunshine,
And you have an alcoholic for a dad
Take a walk in my shoes,
You think my life is so swell,
There’s so much pain in my shoes,
I can’t even begin to tell.
My feet are blistered,
And they’re swelling,
What they did to deserve these shoes,
There is no way telling.
Just take one more walk,
In my torn up muddy shoes,
You’ll see the shoes I wear,
I didn’t get to choose.
