In Nigeria Poem by Okoemu Okoemu Okoemu

In Nigeria

Everywhere in Nigeria,
Blood spilling hay-wire,
Neighbours killing their neighbours
Religion or political violence,
How long is this going to last?
We are different in tongues
But one people.
Everywhere in Nigeria, people running from Shekau,
Some say it Jonathan,
Some say it Buhari, some say is Obasajor or IBB, some say it Danjuma!
My teacher didn't tell me the truth
And the preacher did tell the truth,
So, why don't we bury down violent,
Killing of innocent people,
Women and children,
Why can't we?
I am not saying this because I am coward
I am thinking of the lives we lost,
When Shekau strikes,
Killing many people,
Destroying properties,
Some say it APC,
Some say it PDP.....
Some say it...
Why don't we, why don't we?
Bury down killing.
Kill down violence....?
