In Old Age/I Have Changed Poem by Shalom Freedman

In Old Age/I Have Changed

In old age
I have changed
The crowds I once could not stand
I now enjoy being among
The busses I could not bear to be on
I forget I am on
I do not have to rush through everything else
In order to give my time
To writing and reading
Nothing is so urgent now
I have time
Now when I am close to the end of all my time
I have time.
