In Search Of Grains Poem by Ismail Aashna

In Search Of Grains

Alone like me
You too might be in some unknown island,
Village or city
Flying high and low
To and fro
In search of grains
Scattered by destiny's hands
Risking life in storms,
And quenching sunshine flames
With territorial rains.

Alone like me
You too might be
In some tree top
Or hallow of a tree
Or in a swinging nest
With rest
Hanging from a blossomed bush
Counting the bruises of bruised claws
Enduring pain of wandering wings
With scorpion night crawling
In wide awake eyes
Waiting the dawn's arrival
To fly high and low
To and fro
In search of grains
Scattered by destiny's hands.
