In the age of the selfie it does seem to be
The new in words of the present is you look at me
Since twenty first century technology has helped self promoters in a big way
So many craving attention in the World of today
Though this in itself is not anything new
So sad to realize the humble nowadays are few
And narcissism which has it's source in ego in many out of control
And even on some of those who once were humble is now taking toll
Since humility was to their disadvantage they came to realize
And that they have turned to self promotion is not a surprise
Though so many in a big way into me, myself and i
We are born as mortals and all mortals do die
In the age of the selfie many their own praises love to sing
Self promotion nowadays has become the in thing.
